YMP Vancouver is excited to announce “Mine & Wine Year 3”. Join us for two days centering around a mine site tour and networking with peers. This two-day event includes a guided tour of Coeur Mining’s New Afton Mine, a dinner social event and winery tastings.
Your ticket includes round-trip transportation, accommodation, meals and wine tasting. Day 1 is comprised of a tour of Coeur Mining’s New Afton Mine followed by a dinner social. Day 2 includes winery tastings as well as lunch. A chartered bus departs from Vancouver at 6:30am on Thursday, August 20th, returning at approximately 7:30pm on Friday, August 21 with one-night accommodation in Kamloops.
Please Note:
Coeur requires that everyone on site is clean-shaven, details on acceptable facial hair styles will be provided to attendees prior to the site visit and can be provided upon request to individuals ahead of ticket purchase.
Steel-toe boots are required to be worn on the mine site. As there will be limited boots available to borrow, YMP will provide links for boot purchase options (cost approx. $100+ shipping).
While New Afton is an underground mine, the tour length will not allow for time for attendees to go underground. The site visit will include a tour of the process plant, control room, as well as the historic pit and tailings storage facility.
