Renewables in Mining:

The evolution of the decarbonisation thematic has seen a tidal wave of activity into the green power space. Mining companies are at the "coal face" for the transition of our planet from hydrocarbon to renewable energy sources. Not only are mining companies harvesting the earth for the critical metals that will be required to develop these new technologies, but they are also actively implementing these alternate power sources at operations today to reduce their own carbon footprints and drive the development of sustainable mining into the future.

YMP Perth looks forward to hosting a conversation about the mining industries adoption of renewable and hydrogen-based power in the coming years as the industry transitions to both a provider and consumer of green energy.

YMP Perth is pleased to host Josh Allsop (Power and Renewables Sales Manager Asia Pacific, Wood Mackenzie) and James Arnott (Partner, Energy & Natural Resources Management Consulting, KPMG) for an educational discussion about the industries transition through this power adoption.

Please join us for drinks and canapés from 6 pm on Wednesday, May 19, at Level 8 KPMG building 235 St Georges Terrace, as we explore the development of renewable and hydrogen-based power in the mining industry and the broader economy.

We would like to thank our generous sponsors and supporters as without their support events like this would not be possible. Our Perth chapter is sponsored by our global sponsor Rio Tinto and KPMG LLP.
